The trees are about to show us just how lovely it is to let things go.
Autumn is such a beautiful time of year. It is an opportunity to reflect on the year so far, as well as a time of excitement about what can still be done before year end!
I love seeing the leaves changing colours and then falling as the trees let go. The trees let go of the leaves that no longer serve a purpose. Letting go of dead or dying parts that starve the living parts of the trees of what they need to grow and ultimately survive.
Can your relate? We often carry so much dead weight, holding on to things which no longer serve us, which only ends up weighing us down, holding us back and sometimes even resulting in reaching a breaking point.
By letting go, we open up space to grow, bloom and flourish, just like trees each Spring. Letting go frees YOU.
What might you be holding on to?
We sometimes find ourselves carrying worries or fears, misplaced responsibilities or guilt, anger or resentment. These feelings can cloud our mind, limit our beliefs and prevent us from enjoying a full and satisfying life. The irony is, usually whatever you are holding on to will be hurting and bothering you more than anyone else.
Letting go usually involves some sort of acceptance and/or forgiveness – whether it is of yourself, another person or people, or even a situation. Letting go doesn’t mean that we condone the behavior – it is about lightening your own load. By accepting that you cannot change what has already been, you allow yourself freedom to move on and reclaim energy for yourself.
So take time to tune in...what are you holding on to that you need to let go of? What are you carrying that is preventing your true freedom?
One of the activities we can work on through coaching is letting go of anything that might be holding you back and prohibiting changes you are trying to make. If this resonates with you, please get in touch.
Remember, letting go helps you to GROW :-)
